First, unlike most tabletop shows, this show is totally, completely, 100% improvised. Everybody, even the GM, is coming to the table with a clean slate, so EVERYTHING you're hearing is made up on the spot.
A third sign will highlight history along Red Grade Road. Trail users will experience what the area was like for early travelers who visited the high mountain near Spear O Wigwam and TP Ranch. It will include a historical photo taken by Jessamine Spear Johnson courtesy of Tempe Javitz.
What’s All This Then
Hi everyone.A few days ago on Twitter we officially announced an upcoming game from Leder Games. It seemed about time to bring folks on BGG up to speed as well.I've been working on Oath off-and-on since Root was in development. Like Root, the origins of the project are complex and go back several years. I'll be detailing the design as well as its thematic and mechanical antecedents (and arguments) in posts over the next few months. Today, I wanted to say a little about those origins, the intentions of the design, and what everyone should expect going forward.
"Virtually every other social network is run by advertisers. Behind the scenes they employ armies of ad salesmen and data miners to record every move you make. Data about you is then auctioned off to advertisers and data brokers. You're the product that's being bought and sold," the site proclaimed.
Part of the reason for this minimalism is that Ello comes across as very much a beta product at the moment. The icons are tiny and largely faint, contrastingly text boxes are big and clunky, but the text they display is tiny and low key. It's a real hodgepodge of styles.
So far so good, but what about finding other people? Well, in this regard Ello sucks. There's a discover button, but this just displays a list of random hipster strangers who you may want to link to. People can be categorized as either Friends you follow or Noise.
Since 2012 a lot of other things have changed though. I've stitched with over 1500 people face to face, I've run workshops across the community and at large scale events like The Festival of Making. I've written a book on Modern Bargello and been part of it's resurgence. I've continued to create patterns and kits but not only in tapestry needlepoint. So the name change brings a bit more of me, me, me to the brand but also means that there is one place to find me and what I'm doing whether it is retail or community led.
The Best Western 1776 postcard mentions a golf course, which I remember from my early William and Mary days. After my freshman year (1985ish), they built a Fairfield timeshare property where the golf course once was. Any info about the origin and history of this property would be appreciated! 2ff7e9595c
